Why use a spring testing machine?

Spring has a wide range of usage. It can be used in heavy industries such as automobiles, aerospace, railways, and the military. The spring testing machine is an instrument specially used to test the performance of springs. To ensure that the springs meet tolerance requirements, they must be tested using a spring tester after production.

Common types of springs include compression springs, tension springs, torsion springs, constant force springs, etc... Typical parameters for spring testing include spring stiffness value, spring force value, loading displacement value, and fatigue testing times.

 

Spring testing machines are mainly divided into three types:

 

  • Spring tension and compression testing machine: The main function is to test the strength and elasticity of springs and to evaluate the fatigue life of springs.

 

  • Spring torsion testing machine: The main function is to test the angle change of the spring when it is subjected to torque and can calculate the torsional stiffness value and torque capacity of the springs.

 

  • Spring fatigue testing machine: The main function is to test the reciprocating fatigue times of compression or tension springs.
